We stayed at Hunters Moon earlier in the year and will be going back as there are some really good places to visit with our two dogs.

The site is very nice and well looked after.

One thing we noticed was a pool of water by the entrance to the dog walk and wondered if anyone who has been there this year has also seen this.

If it is a constant feature I would like to suggest a small truckload of type 1 hardcore dumped and spread out on the spot.  I'll wait and see what the response is to this post then maybe put in a request.

Did you make the suggestion to the Wardens or put into a review of the site?

I think  the smaller dog walks benefit from a good depth of bark chippings, means the dog (or me) doesnt get covered in mud, and its far easier to pick up the droppings. Some, like Exmoor House, Dulverton already do this, but others should follow suit.Doesnt
cost much, nothing if the Warden hires a chipper when  trimming trees.  Just a suggestion.
