hi, we are new to this and wish to go to Wales in our motorhome, so a walk to a village, and a pub, would be useful.

How about the Brecon Beacons site? There is an easy walk to the nearby village pub or, for a longer walk go along the canal to Pencelli or the marvellous White Swan at Llanfrynach for a special treat.  Also Brecon itself is within easy walking distance direct from the site and has a number of very good pubs and restaurants. Happy

The CC site at Chirk is handy for the pubs/shops and there's miles of walking along the canal.

Pembury CC site is within easy walk of the nearby town is a great walking and cycling area. Country park just across the road.
