Any recommendations for a good meal within walking distance of the longleat site, any thing up to 30 /40 mins is fine

You used to be able freely to walk up to the pub in Horningsham ( think it's called the Bath Arms?) - very good food if a bit pricey but you'd need a ticket to do that nowadays!

There is another in the opposite direction - I'd have to get the OS map out to tell you exactly where, but Mrs M has just returned from a shopping trip so you'll have to wait a few minutes! Wink

Not sure about that, wedgy, as it's some years since we've been there due to the dog ban. The other pub you can walk to is near East Woodlands (if you have a look on the OS map it appears just to the right of the name of the village), turn right out of the
site entrance and you can walk there without going through the estate itself.
Happy. Use left and right arrows to navigate.
