I did a search on this question which had in fact come up in 2012 but I couldnt access any answers so I will try here. We have stayed here before when we previously owned a caravan. We now have a Motorhome whose width comes very close to that given as the
width of the Archway (2.8m) on the approach road.

Has anyone had any problems getting through the Arch or is it just a case of mirrors in and hold your breath as you drive through it slowly. There is a longer way round to avoid this but that is a winding route (15mile detour) Thanks for any help.

Depends which is the widest part of your MH. If it is the mirrors, then in for the short trip through arch, out as soon as mirrors through to take care with rest of MH. If your MH rear is widest part, then you need to know exact measurements of both arch
and MH! We got through with our MH no problem.

I think coaches and the local bus service goes through the arch.

Yes according to book we are 7.69 with mirrors. I suspect not a problem but just being cautious. Thanks

Go the "other" way the first time and then get out a tape measure.

Thats one mighty wide MH if you mean 7.69m. I suspect a typo, or that's the length.Happy

Ooops!! 2.69m. Well spotted, now that would have been a problem!

Basically I think you need to line the outfit up before you reach it and if you do there should be no problem.
