We're  booked to go to Bolton Abbey in a couple of weeks and I'd  been wondering if it is now posable to get a mobile phone signal.

According to the Ofcomm site reception is now good. Is this actually true?

In addition is it possible to get a 3G or 4G signal there?

The site leaflets do still say there is no signal.

Crissy, have you looked at your phone provider's web site, which might give you a better idea than the Ofcomm one.

Hi Crissy, we were there 4 weeks ago, and are on Vodafone.  We had no signal to make or receive calls, but would occasionally receive and be able to send the odd text message. Probably when the wind was in the right direction! Winking  If you take the walk along the river to the pavillions cafe, you can get a signal at the cafe. (& just before).

You can use apps such as whatsapp if you have a smart phone and subscribe to the club wifi.

    Regards, Paul.

Not sure who your service provider is but a quick call to the site should give you the full information.

Thank  you. I wondered if there was a reason.  There's no problem at Chatsworth, that's the Devonshire's as well I thought?

I've just checked on Never occurred Site, Mobile  Data no coverage, phone low.

A bit annoying that the site says otherwise!
