Longleat TV Reception
I've read that TV reception down at Longleat is quite bad, is it OK if plugged into a bollard? We went down there to look at the site this afternoon. We were quite surprised at it only being 1/2 full. Looks a lovely site.

Catherine, if you're plugged into the bollards you should get the full freeview channels.
Longleat is indeed a lovely site and up to about 3 years ago it was a regular on our list and would have been full virtually every weekend. But just be aware that you can no longer take dogs anywhere into the grounds at any time and you can no longer stroll around the park in the evening after the "attractions" have shut. A great pity and the main reason we no longer go there!

I'd read a few reviews that suggested that the day ticket requirement was possibly the reason behind the lower than expected occupancy on site. I assume that when you say into the Park, that's anywhere beyond the controlled barrier? I'm assuming up the
road is fine?0 -
Even if you don't have dogs the new rules are very restrictive. We like waking from the site, rather than use the car. However, any walks through the park are out unless you have a valid ticket. On our first and probably only visit, we bought a 5 day pass,
as we wanted to visit the house, lions etc. This was very good value, however expensive if all you wanted it for is walking. So unless they change their policy, future visits are unlikely. Perhaps why occupancy was less than you expected.0
