My wife and I stayed at Knaresborough Caravan Club Site last week - 5th - 12th May 2016. The site itself was only just over an hour away, from home. I would not normally attend a site so close to home, but it was recommended by a friend. On arrival we were
made welcome by the Wardens and I booked into the site Bistro for a Sunday Carvery, as family were visiting. What a lovely meal we had, between us we had chosen all the meats on the carvery and ther was not one complaint. All I can say is try it you should
not be disappointed, everything was hot and served on hot plates. The prices were very reasonable. I am looking forward to Hillhead Site where we are going next month, we will definately be trying their Bistro.

I'm off to Knaresborough later in the year and looking forward to what the site and the surroundings have to offer.

There's a good walk into the Town via the woods and across the river.

sadly it is one of the places here in Yorkshire that you can,t get near for love nor money ,same as York it's booked up every weekend throughout the year ,I should go there if it comes up on Late availibilty as I know Knareborough well so it's easy for me
    to get to from here

I managed to get a week and only booked recently.   As you say Groovy Cleaner, it's the weekends that are fully booked. Perhaps I was lucky.

Thanks Papgeno for the tip about the walk as that's something I want to do rather than take the car.

We were in Knaresburough CC site last year. Its well placed for touring the surrounding area. A few minutes drive from the town,  good walking from the site. We enjoyed our visit

The Bistro was not well supported, sometimes only one couple.  IMO that space could have been better enployed by turning it into additional pitches. . There are so many resturants and pubs within easy reach of the site.

Thanks Rocky.  Camera always at the ready.  Happy

I would agree about the Bistro.  I'll be on my own so probably won't visit but prefer to go off site to find somewhere local to eat anyway.

It's one of the best sites in the  region, handy for us, think we have 4 trips booked there this year. There is a lovely pub a short walk from the site , the Guy Fawkes inn, Scotton. Gastro pub, not overly dear.
