Late availability
has anyone else noticed that this is getting very confusing regarding what type of pitches are avaible the symbols are purple = pitch with awning blue is pitch without awning and green is other as in servicd pitch however I have noticed that the list of
late availabilty is sometimes listing sites as having 3 lines of green symbols ,as I not need a super pitch will not look at a site with green symbols showing but as I have realised this in some cases is incorrect imformation ,I'm confused any ideas ?????

I think the "other" pitches may indicate that there's a choice of grass or hard standing pitches, GC. The main thing to be aware of is that whichever option you click on it takes you to site availability with all the different pitch types shown.
Hope that helps!

jill was talking about the list on the late avaibilty page ,and I did wonder if green meant grass but clicking onto the site listed itself some not have grass pitches listed so can't be that I have looked at sites for the next bank holiday and some sites
have green boxes listed but on checking further the site has free pitches other than a super pitch the club is giving out incorrect imformation0 -
Thanks Moulesy and GC - sorry if I caused confusion - I've removed my post.

its ok Jill ,so Mouslsey every time I want to go away and I check the late section if a site has a green box where I want to go I have to check it out rather than thinking I can't go there??

There are many CC sites which have grass and HS pitches but only a few where you can specifically book a particular type. I know, confusing isn't it? So where you see "standard" pitch with/without awning in most cases it
can be either type; you choose from what's available when you arrive on site.0 -

That's right. Just click on the site name and it will show you what pitches are available.

just looked at the list again Buxton has a gree box listed and its a pich with hard standing thats free grass ones are not in use ,also Kendal has 3 seperate lines of green boxes and it has Hs and non HS avaible next weekend ,its the carvavan club that's
not giving us the correct imformation0 -
I'm not sure why you think the club is giving you incorrect information GC? The green box corresponds to "other" pitch, that's all. It might be a serviced pitch, it might be an economy pitch. You find out once you click on the site name. Incomplete, possibly,
confusing certainly but I don't see how you can say it's incorrect?0 -
What a lot of faffing about ------Common sense would imply that if the CC site information is updated in real time you would only need to go into the website, call up the site and low and behold the correct availability at that time would be displayed. It's not rocket science !!!!
We are in the 21st century folks , why is the CC using 20th century technology.

its incorrect as its not showing they have a Hs or non Hs free ,I should not have to go onto every site to see what is free that's the whole point of late availibilty its shows what pitches are free whether Hs non hs or whatever ,not putting all the pitches
on is confusing ,your missing the point !!0 -
Well, GC, I can see that it's incomplete, but that doesn't make it incorrect (IMHO). But it is one way in which the C&CC system is better, you can book a specific pitch type. And surely the first thing you decide on is which site you want to visit, not which pitch type?
