can I ask why the vast majority of caravaners do not understand what 5mph is and why the club asks us to travel at that speed on site?

I frequently see speeds of 20 and 25mph and at that speed a child can be seriously injured.

By the same token children should be governed from speeding around site son their bicycles as many exceed the 5mph. In addiotn on more than one occasion we have had a child on bicycle almost colide with us while we are walking along a path.  We have already
had a child run into the side of the car while on a skateboard.  Of course, parents nowhere to be seen!

There is always the option not to be bothered with club sites, petty rules etc and find another site where there are no curtain twitchers who have nothing better to do than to see if they can catch out someone so they can have a moan on CT!

BTW this therad will probably be moved to one of the other 40,000 threads regarding speeding on site!

Write your comments here...can I just say that you shouldn't assume that people just want to have a moan about speeding and if there are 40,000 threads on the subject then we do have a problem.

I do agree with your comment re children riding their bikes however.

Your post indicated that it was a majority when it is probably a very small minority.  If you took it serious when I joked about 40,000 other threads, then you really need to get out more and leave the job of monitoring speed to the wardens!  Laughing
