Strange thing happened today went for a ride up the coast and went to Thornwick Baycaravan site Flamborough  Haven have took this site over and have invested £10 million in upgrades. Lovely site so decided to book 3 nights fri-sun next bank holiday, checked
their website had availability so we rang to book so we could claim the cc discount, only problem there was they only had 2 nights available not three as the Sunday was full booked but then went on to tell us we could book for four nights, declined, went back
to the web site and booked a 3 night stay without cc discount. Will give them a call tomorrow for a explanation.

I'm pleased the Flamborough Site looked good SELL.  We are booked in there for a week in the middle of may and it is our first "proper" site...we normally stay on CLs.

In response to a previous post, I would love to try a club site but they have always been significantly more expensive than CLs or Haven and we have tried both peak and off peak.

Very strange. Tried Haven- Tenby for 3 nights starting last Saturday. By the time we decided to go site was full. When checking the Euro Pitches for the week end was £11 per night. We went to St Davids and it showed 62 vacancies for the Saturday night. Got there and yes the site was half empty. This even when the other Pembokshire CC site ( Freshwater East) is closed for refurbishment. The private site immediately adjacent ti the CC site was fuller.WE paid £18-80  for a wet soggy grass pitch at St. Davids. All the time we were there the site was half empty (Mid May). Thre must be something wrong with the clubs site department. Do they ever leave HO . Do they ver look at what the competition is  offering. Not only do the likes of Haven beat them hand down on prices but their pitches and facilities are far better, and they fill their sites even in Mid May.
