Bunree to Kinlochewe
Does anyone know if the A890 from Auchertyre to Achnasheen is ok as an approach to Kinlochewe site please? It looks a bit narrow in places but presumably is lightly trafficked and has passing places.
Thanks in advance.

Firstly the road is fine, and although single track in places there are plenty of passing places. The only awkward bit is the climb up from Auchertyre and care is needed on the descent to Strathcarron.
Second I think you mean Morvic (not Bunree) to Kinlockewe, as Bunree is on the East coast. If you do mean Bunree the route you would use is the A9, A862, A835 & the A832.

I mixed Bunree up with Brora, and you'd posted before I got a chance to edit my post. Sorry to both eiflow & your good self for pointing out my error.
At least you haven't critized by first paragraph, K

Agree with comments about road. If you are going to Kinlochewe, take plenty of midgie repellant and/or mosquito net. It depends on the weather and time of year, but this is the worst site I have known for midgies. Otherwise it's a nice site in a spectacular

NTH.....thank you for your speedy and helpful response
I can of course confirm that Bunree is still in the same delightful location it has always been in
No problem. Haven't stopped at Bunree, but can confirm that Kinlochewe is a great site, with fantastic views.
