Chester Fairoaks towpath walk

Can anyone give advice regarding the towpath walk into Chester, is the path paved or is it just a basic grass pathway?

    Hi

    We cycled along this path last year when staying at Chester Fairoaks and it is a very pleasant route. From memory it was a mixture of paved and gravel paths but they were fine and should be ok for walking on without too much trouble. At the site exit turn left and the tow path is about half a mile down the road.
