good point, why not replace all the grass with that imitation stuff, everywhere on site - then nobody can complain about being disturted by the warden's cutting the grass

Reading this thread, there are some who will not be happy until the CC tarmac the whole of their sites and just line off the pitches with paint. "The supermarket car park look".
Relax, enjoy the pitches as they are, why is everybody getting so worked up about them, On many CC sites there are grass pitches for those who like the outdoors and gravel pitches those with a fear of grass.--- Everybody should be happy.

Some sites appear a bit sterile. I like sites like Black Knowl and Rooksbury.
Don't have a problem with arrival and departure times generally. Especially if access road is narrow. Maybe they could do a 24 hrs rolling time. ie you arrive at 10.30am you leave by 10.30am for those that have no access problems obviously.
