I personally feel that you are wasting everyone's time, Nigel.

You seem to berate everyone for posting on here.......by posting on here. Try reading your own posts  (if you can stay awake to do so) and you might see what I mean.

Oh Ian, you can't be the same IanH who was complaining about rudeness and a personal attack just yesterday can you? I'm sure you'll explain to me why this is different but it does smack of double standards to me - just saying!

Yes of course the sites are all different, they weren't all designed by the same architect, at the same time. So there will be toilet blocks that are modern and some that are tired. Some sites have been taken over by the club that were originally commercial and some have been on the network since the CC originated. It's the overall standard and 'experience' that is common among the site network, as Cornersteady pointed out above. Without repeating the points made in that post, the sites are operated to almost the same standards across the board and it is this that gives a level of reassurance to anyone planning a visit. If anyone thinks am I completely wrong, perhaps they can try and explain what makes the club and it's sites so popular? Within reviews on the CC website and ukcampsite, you often read the line "Usual CC standard"

Location is just as important of course, the extremely busy sites (we all know them) are often as not, in tourist hotspots.

You get the same ethos, the same standard of care and comittment by the wardens, the same good standard of the site itself, the toilets are different (well the blocks are not the actual toilets) but cleaned to the same high standard and usually everything
works well or it is fixed soon. The people on it are (and call me a snob if you like) very much like me in outlook and manners, and educated. There is a comon
bond with your fellow campers. You can have a pleasant 'araldaite' conversation with them. While some might be reserved none are rude. There is a marked difference to non club sites or there was when I last visited one. IMHO anyway.

You get the same or even better on many commercial sites, but in some cases at a lower price for more facilities!

Whether you are on a CC, a C & CC, a CS, a CL or a commercial site there is still a bond as you are all camping.

    Anything more to add, Moulesy?

Noting more to say really Ian. Still wondering how your post could be considered not to be rude or insulting - you know, like the one you took exception to when it was aimed at you?

I don't want to get into a slanging match with you Ian which will obviously disappoint DD. "Several" people disagree? Well of course, that's their prerogative, although I might point out that "several" people liked my original comment. And I wonder if they
are aware of your earlier complaint about rudeness to which I was referring?

Ok , I'll leave it as Ian being rude to others is pointing out the obvious but others being rude to Ian is a cause for you to protest. Is that a fair summary?

Another thing I do not like is letting animals into the toilet block just after cleaning,it must be animals people would not leave them in such a state would they.

Was someone rude to me? Laughing Seriously, the mud doesn't stick and I'll never be offended or put off from what I want to do, I
don't take anything to heart if it's aimed at me on forums like this, however, brave enough to say something to my face and I'll give back with interest. Please get back on topic fellas, all this sticking it to each other is pointless.

I can't think of anything in particular that I dislike about club sites, except for... the day I have to pack everything up to go home. I can honestly say I've enjoyed every holiday I've had on a CC site

Once whilst having a shower at Moreton, a load of yellow water passed by my feet, along the drainage gully. I jumped to look over the partition and caught a guy in the act of relieving himself. I gave him what for to which he replied, sorry mate but I was
desparate. For the rest of the holiday, everytime our paths crossed he'd either do an abrupt about turn or turn his head to avoid eye contact. Poor chap, he was quite embarrassed. Laughing
