So, wardens are without exception perfect whatever they do, shower blocks are clean even 23 hours after the cleaners / wardens have set foot in them, club sites are all perfect in every way and everyone and anyone who parts with the best part of £50 every
year for their own reasons is a delight........thanks for an objective and totally unbiased review.

I think you are in the wrong thread here Ian, a question was asked by the OP and I answered it. You may not like or agree  with my answer but there is no need for your rant. I haven't read all of this thread yet but I assume you have attacked everyone else's
post or is it just me you are going out of your way to bully?

Phew, am I glad you're back, Corners. I've been your understudy. Laughing

With respect, Moulesy, I didn't make a personal attack on the poster (or a acuse him of 'ranting') and only expressed a view on what was said.

I don't worry about it, but I do find it unfortunate that some cannot accept another viewpoint without getting all petulant about it.

Write your comments here...I do find it interesting as an occasional visitor and  even more occasional poster that it seems to be the same "suspects" in every thread that have most to say and that most of what said is either very tongue in cheek ( am I being
    kind) or just extremely banal

It's the same with most forums attached to a membership organisation. There will always be those who feel invincible in front of the relative safety and aninomity of their computer. I wouldn't be concerned, nothing anyone posts in this forum will ever likely change anything. Posters can complain all they like, refer to club rules as often as they like, bitch all they like, but the simple fact is, those that contribute in these forums and even those that read this stuff are a tiny proportion of the club membership as a whole, so nothing will ever alter. The vast majority of the CC membership don't see this material so they will continue to do what they've always done. Those that complain on here have every right to do so, it's their own time to waste as they see fit, if it helps them to feel better, let then get on with it.

Another thing I love about Club Sites is the nostalgia factor. I had some really memorable family holidays on CC sites as a child all over England, Scotland and Wales, back in the 1970s in our 14'6", 5-berth Panther caravan. I love revisiting some of these
sites with my new-to-caravanning OH (and various children). My (now octegenarian) parents often come to visit us on site to reminisce about their caravanning glory days, and marvel at both the many changes and the many things that haven't changed.
    Happy

Ok, my turn. What I like, no, what I love about Club sites, being a warden, are the hundreds if not thousands of our members we meet who choose to come to our site for their leisure time. It is so very rewarding to see people enjoying this hobby of ours,
and contrary to some of the ct forum users, the overall majority of us don't need reminding of the rules and bye laws and just get on with their holidays.

    Thanks for that.

I would think that many many club members would put wardens in their top 10 of things they like about the club.

Even though sites are in some very different locations eg Dunnet compared to Crystal Palace you'll find familiar things, reception, info area, water points, signage. I quite like knowing things won't be too unfamiliar on the sites but I know the locations
    will be very different.

    Clean toilets and showers

    Usually reasonably quiet at night

Usually some attempt by wardens to enforce rules like no ball games.
