Praise The Wardens Day

SurprisedJust thought I would start a thread praising wardens and
their work as all we seem to get on CT are negatives and moans so let’s have some positive comments folks.

I visited Clumber park in March and the wardens were friendly, polite and helpful. The site was tidy as expected even considering it was almost full and grass pitches in use even if a bit
wet.

p.s. and yes I have found some wardens to be a bit grumpy but would you not be the same having to put up with some of the petty moaning that goes on?Wink. Use left and right arrows to navigate.

Remember arriving at Rowntree Park and there was a queue at 12 noon. Warden let everyone in after just checking off names on a list and said to come back later to pay.

"You're supposed to be on holiday, so we like you to get on and start enjoying it" he said.

    Exactly the right attitude! Laughing

    They've moved on now, unfortunately.....still, York's loss is Coniston's (I think) gain......

I think the majority of members are satisfied with the way that they are treated on all sites, but as we know ,the great Jo Public in all areas ,will complain if things do not for any reason in their perception suit the moment Wink

Apart from checking in/out never really interact with them but most seem OK and as in life some not so OK but as its only for 10 minutes of my holiday really dont care.

I do think the job title should change though to site manager or something warden sounds like you are staying in Stallag 17!

We have had a caravan 11 years and in this country used CC sites most of the time. Almost with out exception we have found the wardens welcoming and helpful.

Have 'vanned with the Club on and off for over 40 years....

The wardens almost without exception are brilliant and in my opinion one of the best parts of the club...

The wardens at Borrowdale/derwent water this year were friendly and helpful when I was there last month and having van problems.

Apart from checking in and paying my money, I have no need to interface with the warden staff, so I can only say that the wardens have always done their job OK as far as the booking in is concerned.

Andy and Sam at Balbirnie Park must be the hardest working on the network. Muriel at Edinburgh the cheeriest!
