Touring Guides
Hi, does anyone know if its possible to get touring guides for the uk.....the sort of thing that gives you an area tour e.g. the south coast , then gives you a 7 day or 14 day tour with sites places to visit ect. we are motorhoming and want to visit the
south of england but thought it would be good if we ciould get a dedicated tour.

Yes you can. Ordnance survey used to publish guide books to different areas, with suggested driving tours, and walking tours, including places to visit, places to stay. We have ones for Northumberland, Cornwall, Devon. They are not specifically designed
for MHs, so you will have to research sites and park up spots, but might help.Failing this, why not just buy a map of area you fancy visiting, and make up your own tour? We do this all the time, linking places of interest and sites to stay at on the way. Quite easy to do with a bit of research. If it is specific things you want to
visit, such as castles, gardens, big houses, English Heritage and National Trust guide leaflets will help.0 -
Hi, thank you for your reply....I have decided to do that as I have found info for the south coast showing the counties and sites in each one allowing me to see at a glance the whole area....thanks again.

I could help a bit with places in Devon and Cornwall, but not so good at other Southern Counties! Ask away if you need to, otherwise enjoy your planning!

The tourist boards in each region would be a good place to start, lots of info on these sites for different types of holidays and attractions. First port of call would be
