It has also ruined my Birthday as such, It was planned to have BBQ this evening followed by a few bevvies, but instead just two of us now are going out for a meal at lunch time as I have to drive so not a drop of giggle juice will cross my lips!
i did leave earlier yesterday to get back, but it still was a slow tedious drive as I am night blind and I left as 7.45pm, I will have to tey leaving at 7.39 tonight, I am suppose not to drive at night! what a todo!

Well just got back from Black knowl and the site is booked up again! Only 1 pitch that I could see empty!
still no flooded pitches, in fact today the wardens were taking fleece of seeded grass pitches to allow the sun at them.
yes! I said SUN as it has been out every day since 30th, a shower started at about 7.00pm thats all!

Looks like they have let you down badly. As I understand it the wardens when cancelling your booking can delete the 72 hour e mail and should have done this.
At the same time you have to say that deciding if grass pitches are usable needs a bit of guesswork and they can be wrong. Looking at other threads it looks like the wardens at other sites have got it wrong the other way and ended up with damaged pitches
so they cannot win.I assume the bookings cancelled started with the last booked and worked forward but cannot be sure.

Viv said that that some that had booked much later than she did were allowed on whereas her booking was cancelled. It smells somewhat of a conspiracy to me.

Viv, why not pop into the Wardens office and ask why your booking was cancelled? Quicker than waiting for a response from HQ. Keeping it on a friendly basis of course, not easy I admit.

I have a poorly dog today so may not be able to comite as planned. So possibly no farewells to those leaving tomorrow!
Vivien..How poorly is your dog, as you are in one of the virus areas!!!!
Write your comments here... He ate something he shouldnt out of my fridge! Vet gave him a pain killer and a stomache calmer jab, he was sat whinging for food 5 minutes ago, so must be feeling better

Write your comments here... Today I have found out that the wardens have allowed people to park on grads pitches, but one of the Solos was refused a pitch to stay on! And there are empty hardstandings!

I start writing my report this afternoon. After my findings it will be quite a comprehensive one too!
i do hope the fellow Solos that were there at Black Knowl enjoyed their stay as much as possible, and that they didnt mind me comuting and sometimes being late due to traffic etc. At least the weather stayed fine during the days for us!
