I'm lucky my caravan is on the rear of my drive i live in the end of a cul-de-sac and drive my 4x4 and caravan down the drive unhitch move the 4x4 out of the way and can turn the caravan around there. I wash it at least once a month more if it looks dirty.
Can't stand to see a dirty caravan or a 4x4. I always wash the front and rear after arriving on site with water and a sponge then chamois dry.0 -
The time to wash either car or caravan is when you can no longer find the door handle.

Funny that washing of big motor homes seems to be ok at Southport, as the whole operation is taking place at the moment. I don't know if there is a rule that no vehicle is washed on the pitches but it would be interesting to know where this is recorded. We refrained from washing our vehicle just in case it was against regulations.

Never been told off yet, we often rinse off the sides of the M/H shortly after arriving, as long as you are only using a bucket/bowl of water and a sponge/brush there isn't usually a problem. We have recently returned for 2 weeks away, pretty much every time we arrived we had to rinse down the sides due to the filth from the roads.

I often leave ours with the car and 'van immaculately clean, the other weekend we booked in at Conkers, having traveled through North West Leicestershire, Quaries, Quary wagons the roads are filthy. On arrival after setting up I cleaned the front and back end of my 'van, certainly don't intend looking through filthy windows all weekend.

I also clean off road dirt using the minimum amount of water. If I didn't do so I would hide behind the curtains in shame every time somebody walked past. Obviously using a hose would rub the wardens up the wrong way, but a bucket of water (or two) would not break the site owners financially.

Sounds like one of the stalag wardens we had at Sandringham a few years back, after the ear bashing her that has to be obeyed give them its wonder they carried on being wardens.Thought the club by now would look to more customer training seems to be lacking just lately, as few have said on this forum the commercial sites are starting to get their act together cheaper in some cases and more to offer. CC if you want to keep members take heed, l for one will be trying a commercial site this year to compare, never thought of doing it before
