Sites with a pylon

A bizarre question but anyone know of sites very near a pylon in Derbyshire/Notts/South Yorks/Lincoln or close?  Want to know if being near (under 100 yards) from one gives me migraines or doesnt bother me.

In case you were wondering this is research as we are moving and now two of the possible houses are near pylons so this would be an easy way to work out if they do affect my migraines.

thanks folks

If I remember correctly Skybarn Farm CL in Lincs have a pylon in the field next to the caravan site. You could try emailing Nicola and asking her how close it is.

Mind you, you will be lucky to get on before mid April.

Just remembered Tall Trees CL in Mansfield has pylons close by, not sure how close to the site  though I could nip up tomorrow and look.

Just back from SkyBarn Farm , there is a wind turbine,in the field next to the site, but the pylons are much further away.

Hi bmbonanza, I don't know what Dave's been drinking whilst staying here Surprised but the nearest pylon to us is approximately
a mile away so I doubt that would help.

You're still welcome to come and stay with us though! Happy

Haha, most people would prefer it without the pylon anyway Nicola.

It wont work for our experiment but it looks a lovely site - will be putting it on our list :-)

We look forward to meeting you before too long and good luck with your 'experiment'.

Might want to avoid us when Dave's here though as he obviously drinks some pretty potent stuff!

Walking the dog I can see Tall Trees CL and it looks like the pylon is off site in the farm next door.

Had a thought (always a dangerous thing), would H&S allow pylons actually on a site?

A bit further north I know, but Claylands Park at Cabus, near Garstang, Lancashire has pylons in the same area as the caravans - you can hear the hum!  If you look on aerial view you can actually see them.  We haven't stayed on the site but did have a walk
round once, it's mostly statics, seemed well looked-after, and has excellent reviews on UKCampsite.

Remember if there were no pylons you would have no electric hook up!!

Why do I keep reading this thread title as "Sites with a Python"? All very Freudian.

Maybe, like Bmbonanza, you are looking for a site where you can hook up to a Pylon to save paying for the sites Hook-up

Don't know if you are still looking BMB but we have had a look around a CL near Grantham this afternoon that has a pylon next to it.

    Barn Farm CL

    Allington Road

    Sedgebrook

    Grantham

    NG32 2EJ

Fairly easy access of the A52, even easier off the A1 if you approach from the south. The owner did say it was easy from the north but I didn't go that way.
