CC site at Salisbury- anyone stayed there
Hi thinking of staying at this site when we return from France/Spain/Portugal 3rd week of June for a few days. We've never stayed on this site before but I see its only got 7 hard standings so we may be on grass, does anyone have any experiance of what the
grass pitches are like, are they firm enough for a fully loaded MH and trailer, we don't want to go ruining the grass or worse still getting stuck. Oh to be able to book a H/S. Many thanks

Have only seen the site as it's near friends, it's on quite a slope, nice spot but by a busy road. Not so good for motorhomers, you'd probably need to use yours to travel off the site. If I was staying over there I'd probably use the C&CC site at Old Sarum, much nearer to Salisbury and you can book hardstandings.

Thanks Brue that's useful to know, we've pasted the C&CC site so would agree its better placed, not yet members, though that might change. We are looking for somewhere to stay so we can take the scooter in to get it serviced on our way home as there are
no service agents for in now in Scotland the eldest son lives at Tidworth so we thought we would pop in to see them aswell on the way North,
might need to rethink plans0 -
Try Stonehenge Campsite which has hard standings. About ten miles from Salisbury and from Tidworth. Reviews and photos on line.

Another option within that radius is Sandy Balls, about 12 miles from Salisbury, at Fordingbridge. Don't know about all the P&R for Salisbury but the Old Sarum one isn't MH friendly.

Wow! thanks all, lots of suggestions there. BB we won't have the car on A frame as we will be on our way back from Spain.
We will have the scooter on the trailer which is the main reason for going to that area, it will need a service and there isn't an agent in Scotland. The garage is at Weyhill between Andover and Thruxon, the problem is we will need to take the scooter in
and drop it off then collect it later. Might have to rethink.0
