Mainly, it will say if they are not.

The only one I actually know that is not, is Wincanton Racecourse, it is 10amps.

Around 10 amps at the moment on Lady Margaret's Park, apparently because everybody wants to have their heating on high in the winter.  Undecided They're
giving out little information notices to warn you that, if you have your heating on high and then switch on a normal electric kettle you'll trip the bollard.

Our normal electric kettle, which we only use at home, is 10 amps on it's own. So if using one of these on a 10 amp site supply, you could not have your heating on electric at all.

Steve If you exercise a bit of care with how many appliances are on  the CC supply will be more than adequate be it 16 or 10amp. We caravan for months at a time on sites where 6 amp is the norm and manage ok.

I think if you look again you will see I put "which we only use at home". The kettle we use on site is 900 watts. As you say careful management is all that is required. In the 11 years we have been caravaning we have only ever tripped the bollard once and
that includes 6 10 and 16 amp supplies.

First time ever in decades of caravaning since bollards were invented the trip went off.  Could not figure out how to reset it, so moved the cable to a different outlet and all was instantly fine.

Site manager appologised as his 16A outlets are actually designed to be meterd and the "free" allocation (although set to the maximun) had just eventually run out. Can someone explain how it managed to do that just as the (one kilwatt) heater switched on
    in the morning?

Careful management indeed the key. This time of year, using electric heating it needs more care. In order to manage things with low watt kettles, microwaves etc. The amperage is need so you know how many watts you can use, hence the question

Carnon Downs AS site has 10 amps, we've managed with that even in very cold weather (switching things off and not using electric kettles and toasters.) Reading reviews the Minehead site recently suffered from over use, it's quite a cold site in an old quarry.
