Agree KjellNN, going to Scotland for just two days (one night?) is a bit of a drag to me, much as I love Scotland. Better to stay in the lakes area for the extra two days, or find a site closer to home to make the homeward journey shorter........ Thats assuming that seshank doesnt live in Scotland.....

Hi - what is an expert? I bought my first caravan in 1966 ad I'm still learning because caravans and equipment ee changing. I wish you well in your search for knowledge. Don't be afraid to ask people on site. It's better than making an expensive mistake.

yes dated are wrong
23/3-27/3 sorry
In that case it might be difficult to get anwhere, as availability for Good Friday and the Saturday before Easter will be very limited. It is too early to show on late availability yet, so probably your best bet is to ring the CC booking line and ask them
what they have available in your area of interest.0 -
The site at Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales is great - right on the edge of the village so you can walk in - lots of great pubs there too and amazing walking right from the site. Also Coniston is a good place to stay - we stayed there for 2 weeks last September
and could have stayed for longer! It's about a 15 minutes walk into Coniston along a footpath. If you're only there for a short time, I'd stay in the Lakes/Dales rather than travel up to Scotland for a night - unless you're coming up to where I live which
is the best place in the world!!0 -
i am happy that we have booked for 5 days in the Coniston Park Coppice Caravan Club as someone cancled
feeling lucky and looking forward for a first cavaran trip
thank you for all
lovely site but a bit spread out and it slopes down to the lake but pitches are mostly level, there are also lots of trees not that there is much sunshine in the lakes anyway
The most open area is pitches 50 -69 on the site map, and these are closer to the entrance and is on the level. The site map is here. Hope you have a great time

Glad you've got onto the site. If you don't know the road just take care, especially if you're towing a caravan, as there are a couple of narrow places and the walls are unforgiving!!
