Where are the wardens?
In this month's magazine, instead of printing the usual list of which wardens are on what site, there is a short piece to say the full list will be on the website. Try as I might I have been unable to find it. Anyone know where it is? It doesn't make any
difference to where we go, I just like to have a look to see who will be in residence on the sites we are visiting.

JD, can you explain why you need to know which warden is on what site. Im sure they all do an equally good job. Normally you would only speak to them when booking in and apart from the odd good morning or health emergency there is no need to waste their valuable time in conversation. After all you wont have time either as you will be enjoying every minute of your holiday.

Some years ago my wife and I were on the Caravan Club volunteering scheme. In that time we met a number of different wardens and fellow volunteers, and I just like to have a look to see where they are now, and if there are any names I recognise.

You don't need to explain your reasons to us, JD, as it's entirely your own business.

Whilst I trust that wardens won't feel spurned, I have no interest in who's where. I never visit a site regularly enough to develop a relationship with a warden for it to matter whether he is still in residence or moved on. Remembering the OH's name seems
to suffice for most trips away.0 -
We also just book a site and never worry about who the wardens are. It has never been a problem but we do spot the odd one we have seen before.
Not sure if there is any point in looking up their names before ringing as most sites have at least two couples working there so you still cannot use their name when they answer as you will not know which person you have got through to.

Some folk obviously see the contact/interaction with the wardens as part of their enjoyment of their holiday. If they enjoy that-good on em

I looked at this list, why? I wanted to know if the same wardens were at one if the sites we use, we have got to know them over the 3 years they have been there. When we visited the site at the end of the season last year, they were waiting to hear. It wouldn't
stop us using the site if they weren't there though. I don't consider myself "sad" for wanting to know.0 -
Thank you to all those that took the time to post a positive reply to my original query. I have now found the list. And I may well be sad enough to book a site because of the warden, as I have found that a warden that we worked with when we were volunteering is now on a site fairly local to us, also it's a site we have been wanting to visit for a few years. If that makes me "sad" then so be it.

Thanks Karen, hopefully the members will be happy with your published list, although I'm sure some of the grumps won't be very happy that they have to press 2 links to find it

Strange that HD, I find a quick face to face conversation with the wardens usually find out their names. Are we losing the art of conversation?
the only time I make contact with a warden is when we book in after that I can manage on my own, it then when you get home and want to do a review I might need to mention their names, but next time im on a site I will make sure I get their names.
P.S I'm not a warden groupie

I can just about remember my own name. Wardens have no chance.
