Hi everyone,

Our technical team have made us aware of a browser incompatibility issue with the latest Android release and our
UK Sites app. If you have a brand new device, or have recently upgraded your Android operating system to the latest versions (Google Android: Marshmallow 6.0.1; Samsung Android:
Lollipop 5.1.1)  you may experience some difficulty downloading the app or making a site booking. This issue has been raised with our developers as an urgent issue, and I will post an update as soon as we have one. Apologies to anyone who has been affected
by this issue - you can continue to make and amend bookings by phone/online in the meantime.

Best wishes

Danielle

I haven't tried a booking using the App but I am using Samsung Android 5.1.1 and had no problems downloading the App and it works fine when on line with Google Maps. Off line I haven't noticed any problems either.

Please can you advise what are the arrangements for keeping this App up to date especially with changes to the database?

    Hi Danielle

Do you know if there are any plans to develop the App further to make it available for folks with Windows phones? (Nokia Lumia etc)

    Cheers

I used the app this morning to cancel one booking, amend another and make a new booking and I can confirm all worked perfectly on my Android phone.

Any advice yet? if we cannot update the database on regular basis, the App is going to be a bit of a waste.

    Hi Peedee,

In response to your query - the app downloads the site database from the Caravan Club service layer each time you open the app on your device. This database itself is refreshed every five days, ensuring that any changes to the site network are reflected
    within the app.

Hope this answers your question, we already have an existing discussion regarding the UK sites App, so we will close this discussion, as the issue with Android is fixed. As such for further comments and feedback, please contribute
