Can I book 2 pitches on one site?
I'd like to book 2 pitches on a site, one couple are member and one couple are not (the site accepts both memeber and non members)
I've tried to do this using the booking route on this website but it does not seem possible. Is it a case of ringing the site rather than using the online booking facility?

You can only book one pitch, Maddy. Your friends need to make their own booking by phone either to the site or the call centre.

Hello Maddy and welcome to Club Together.
Unfortunately, the Caravan Club doesn't permit you to book two pitches anywhere for the same period so, Tinwheeler is correct in that your friends will need to make their own booking at the non-member rate.

Maddy could surely book one pitch as a member, online, then phone and book the second pitch in her friends' name?
Maddy, also be aware that you cannot reserve 2 adjacent pitches ahead of arrival, so if you want to be pitched next to each other the safest way is to arrive together.

The booking system i imagine would only let you book one outfit in any case. As Tinwheeler said your friends need to make their own booking .

Come here to Cornwall, Maddy. I can whisper the name of a very nice independent campsite which says, Of course friends can have two pitches together.

Sorry that you feel like that Maddy. In the past, people had been known to book several sites for the same period and then cancel all but one at the last minute, depending which location had the best weather, thus possibly depriving other members of a pitch
on a popular site.I appreciate that you were hoping to do something quite different.
Nobody is stopping your friends from enjoying a break with you on the same site. Is it not possible for your friends to make their own booking? Obviously, they'll have to pay non-member rates.

Thanks everyone - what a shame all round! and it seems a shame i have friends who want to come on a break with me. What a funny old system!
I'm alright jack but you sort yourself out!!!Members get discounted rates, Maddy. To be fair to all members you can only book one discounted pitch per night. It's a club and we pay membership fees. Your friends aren't members but could join and take advantage of the lower pitch fees. They, then, would
also be able to book on line. I don't think it's funny at all, to be honest, and Jill's post explains the situation well.0 -
As Sattermum says you could book for them. I remember once when we were on a club site (Melrose) and some Italian friends were touring Scotland at the same time and we invited them to share a few days with us. I booked them in wiith the Warden direct in the office and there were no problems at all. I also tried to pay their fees but couldn't as I didn't know their MH registration number, apparently without a number plate on the system you can't actaully pay. I still did though as I rang them up and got the number.

Write your comments here...I guess you could tell your friends what a wonderful organisation that we joined, and suggest the join as well.

Perhaps you are allowed to book two pitches as a non-member? The £10 discount you would loose would not even buy you all a round of drinks.
