I'm off to Sandringham tomorrow (19/02/16) and was wondering what people's thoughts are. I've been to the visit the estate before but this will be my first time caravanning there!! I'm rather excited!!

What information are you actually looking for with regard to a stay at Sandringham?  Asking what people's thoughts are doesn't really give us much idea of what you need to know.

Are you looking for places to visit, places to eat, good walks, or what the site is like in general?

Can you be a bit more specific.

We have stayed there a few times, but only as a stop over before going into Norfolk. A lovely site, well maintanied, the pitches are large enough and there are two toilet blocks. Unlike other club sites on this one you have to reverse your
caravan onto the pitch, something to do with lease?. Anyway it's easy to get to in lovely surroundings and when were there there was even a fish and chip van.. Hope you enjoy your stay

Just wondering what people thoughts on the site were places to go! I like to have a bit of interaction rather than read a review.

As for the chippy what days does it come by?

We've been there a few times, it's a lovely site, with plenty of trees. An easy footpath into Sandringham woods, and through to the house and gardens. We stay there because it's a really good base for birdwatching, there's a good bus service along the main
road, to Kings Lynn, or along the coast towards Wells If you don't want to use your car.

If you have dogs with you, beware, there is a virus common in the area which can be quite nasty if your dog picks it up.

WiFi wasn't too good last time we were there ( October 2015), but may well have been upgraded recently.

Don't know about the chips, my waistline doesn't allow such items.Sad

    Have a brilliant trip.

    Happy

All I know is that there's a chunk of restricted airspace appeared where some family have moved to North Norfolk. Blimmin' nuisances!

At least it only goes to 2000 ft (and you want a bit more height than that anyway going over the Wash) so not too bad for those flying visits down to Old Buckenham and the many other airfields of Norfolk.....

Is a nice site, an easy tow with wide access on arrival.

The pitches are a good size and level so pitching and setting up should be easy.

The site info, wardens and Internet can steer you to many things to absorb your time.

Dog virus CSI is active in autumn till the end of December so your dogs should be OK this time of year - again give Canine Seasonal Illness a google if you need further comfort.

Chip van typically visits on a Friday and I think you will really enjoy the site, walks and there is also a social club nearby if you fancy a tipple.

    I hope this helps.
