I am plannning on visiting Chester in April with my non caravanning sister (hubby away on stag party).  So Im looking for a site which is either walkable or short bus journey to Chester.  Would also like a pub/restaurant  close by so I dont have to drive
everywhere.

I also need good access and spacious pitch as I dont have a motor mover and unit is 24ft 8in long.  Non caravanning sister useless at guiding into pitch and set up. Yell

Chester Fairoaks meets most of your needs apart from the key one - being close to Chester. It's on the outskirts of Ellesmere Port but there is a bus. Loads of chain pubs and eateries on the doorstep and Cheshire Oaks outlet village within walking distance.

If you are looking for sites closer to Chester you're really into CL territory and there are some good ones.

There is a private site off the southerly bypass. It's really near the road and pretty noisy

We have stayed at Chester Fairoaks and I would say that most pitches have fairly easy access, some pictures here. Buses are a 10/15 minute walk away from near
the Cheshire Oaks Shopping Complex. There is one pub virtually out side the gate and a few more 5 minutes away on the main road. However there are even more at the shopping centre. When we went to the Waterways Museum at Ellesmere Port we got a taxi which
made it relatively easy and it wasn't that expensive. If you didn't want the walk to the bus I think I would do the same to visit Chester.

There is also the park and ride a short drive away located at Chester Zoo.

Agree Chester Fairoaks meets your requirements but it is very busy and can be difficult to get in. If you are a member of the other club they also have a site there next to a pub. This is next to a station with a regular train service in if that appeals.

The service  from Delamere to Chester isn't great though.

Sandy Lane Farm in Kinnerton might work in some respects as might Digby Farm but I think Fairoaks would probably meet your needs better than most

We can recommend Digby Farm CL, at Broughton. There's a bus stop close by into Chester. You can walk from the site along to the Shopping/Retail centre at Broughton where there are a number of popular eating places, as well as many of the major high street
    stores, and a large Tesco.
