Melrose Gibson Park
Anyone out there familiar with the latest situation after the floods in this area? We are planning a break mid March to the Borders, visiting relatives + mini break.

If you don't get any responses from people who know the current situation, you could always ring the site and speak to the site staff.
Hope you manage your trip away.

one or two of the pitches do flood after heavy rain, but if you choose a pitch on the 'top' or right hand side (from the entrance) you should be fine

We booked a pitch at Gibson Park in late July last year for one night. We were told there was only one pitch left , a serviced pitch, which we wouldn't normally have booked. What the wardens didn't tell us was that the 2 service pitches which were available
when we arrived were both partially flooded ! Maybe they weren't flooded the day before when I booked but they didn't mention this when I booked in and paid for our stay. Kellysmum0 -
Yes agree. Gibson Park and troutbeck head are out 'frequent flyer sites' (thy are both 2 hours door to pitch). We must have visited them many many times over the years and we know which pitches fllood on both sites and have flooded for years, they are always
the same ones. If we know that then the wardens must know as well but unless asked they never tell.Additionally I do not understand why the club doesn't do anything about these 'serial flooders'? Does it cost too much? or it is that nothing can be done?
