Just where are the best sea view sites
Hi all....When we go away it is mainly to photograph our fantastic coastline around the UK. The sites we prefer to be on are the ones that offer good sea views and so it has got us wondering...just where are the best sea view sites? We have stayed at Trewethett
and it was stunning! It is as good as the one we have down the road at Old Hartley which has probably one of the best views ( The Iconic St Marys Lighthouse ) of all the sites. Iam aware that North Ledaig and Bunree are also great for their panorama and are
on the must visit list. Iam really not to sure that there are that many sites in the club portfolio that have sea views as there star turn. Iam keen to find out where have you been either club sites or CLs which have provided you with great sea views? It
will be interesting to see how many they are and where they are in the country....Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

, Hi B.L .The Folkestone C.CC site takes some beating up on the 'Warren'.

St Agnes Beacon, North Cornwall, has lovely views down the coast towards Godrevy Lighthouse and St Ives. There are also disused tin mines nearby which look stunning against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean - great for photography.
It is a CC site but no toilet block.

There is a CL on Anglesey called Gorsgoch Farm, it is on the cliff top overlooking South Stack, didn't stay there but passed it , and the views were lovely.

No good for Baldylocks, as it doesn't take caravans, if I remember correctly.

Not a club site but the site at Scourie has great views. The CC's site at Dunnet Head is another good one for a sea view.

Try Wirral Country Park CC site overlooking the River Dee looking to the hills of North Wales.
Write your comments here...Yes, we have stayed there and the views are brilliant! At night you can see the coast of North Wales all lit up across the Dee estuary.

Brora if you are up in time for sunrise.

Berwick Seaview CC site has excellent sea views from almost every pitch it is one of our favourite sites. Also as has already been mentioned you can get a sea view from some of the pitches at Hillhead. Garlieston CC site also has excellent seaviews and you
can pitch right next to the sea which is great0 -
Not CC sites, but Bank Farm and Carregllwyd on the Gower both offer fantastic views over Port Eynon and The Bristol Channel. Home Farm Holiday Park at St Audries offers sea views through the trees.
Also, down in Cornwall you could look at Pentawan Sands which has beachside pitches (these are difficult to book)
The CC affiliated site, Trevedra Farm at Sennen offers superb views of the Atlantic and The Celtic Sea. I've spent many a happy hour there with my binos keeping an eye on teh very bust shipping lanes whilst tracking the vessels on my ipad.

A couple of my recommendations (Banff Links & Brora) have aleady been mentioned, but I will add ...
Crail in Fife, Cruden bay, North of Aberdeen (short stay allowed on the pier for a 'donation') - fantastic beach. Bram Stoker was a frequent visitor and apparently wrote 'Dracula' while staying there. Fraserburgh (site right beside beach). Portsoy,
home of Scottish boat festival. Findhorn bay, Dornoch and right at the very top - John O' Groats and Dunnet Bay nearThurso.0 -
