    I have commented on another thread about this.  If it is the case I am disgusted.  The forecast and the news was full of the danger from the storm and Rowntree is known to flood.  Personally I'd have been very grateful to the wardens for a calm evacuation
    of the site, and from the sound of it somewhere else found to pitch.  There NOTHING quite like the genral public when it somes down to it

    As far as I'm concerned those abusers should be given an official warning and if they any cause any further trouble then they should be kicked out. No ifs, no buts!

    If they abused the warden who was doing his duty to keep them safe and acting on CC's wishes then they should just be booted out of the club.  The type of people who behave like that are more trouble than £50 worth of membership fees as the odds are they
    will be inconsiderate in other ways so lose the club more than £50 in putting other people off, or damage, rubbish etc.

    I agree with Wherenext on action but I suppose the wardens had more to do than take names. Possibly they should have said   stay at your own risk if you want.

    I also read the letter in the magazine,  really shocking that people were abusive to the wardens,doing their job.  surely they wouldn't want to stay and watch their caravan float off!

    No they'd expect the wardens to tow it to a safer dry area for them!!!

    Although I haven't read the letter yet it sounds like time for the CC to implement Zero tolerance of abuse to Wardens and stick by it!  It was so clear that the weather was going downhill rapidly - I would have left them to get their vans drowned - but perhaps
    that would have been wrong in some way too!  I may have had the odd grumble about grumpy Wardens in the past but on the whole they do a fantastic job!

    I would think that the warden would know his site and area best , so when a situation like this happens I for one would listen and take notice of his advice , yes you might have your holiday cut short but it's a small price to pay 

    To the people who gave the warden abuse ,I hope you now regret it and feel embarrassed , if not you should ........

    I think if I'd been the warden, I would have been tempted to leave them to the mercy of the river!!  (Perhaps after checking that they hadn't taken out Mayday insurance!!!) They may have then had to have a forced rethink of their attitude!

    Following 'evacuate' warnings should be seen as a life-saver, not as an opening for an argument!

    I agree Wildwood. Get them to sign a slip of paper as a waiver and leave them to fend for themselves.

    These loudmouths unfortunately only think they know best.
