My partner and I are planning a trip to Cornwall, Falmouth/ Truro area we want an overnight stop. We understand that the service station at Junction 8, offers this facility, at a recent short stop we found it a lovely clean service area selling local produce.  Has
anyone made this stop over and can they recommend it.

Are you possibly thinking of the new Gloucester services between junction 11a and 12, as you mention local produce and this has a farm shop. Overnight parking there is £20 according to their website.

An alternative suggestion would be to overnight at Cadeside CC , just off the M5, needs booking as its small, but a better nights sleep guaranteed IMHO......Cool

Strensham is the services at junction 8 and I certainly would not describe those as you did. They are OK but certainly not a lovely clean, as are Gloucester. £22 a night for a caravan according to their website.

I tend to steer away from motorway service stations. Their prices seem to reflect the fact that they have a captive market.

Briarfields Touring Park at Cheltenham, adults only these days, so if you have got children I will give you the alternatives.

Not much rest to be had in Motorway Service Stations - in my experience - I would come off and find a site. Traffic comes and goes all night unless you get away from the Motorway.  The CC site at Tewkesbury isn't far off the motorway - or the other club
the other side of the M5 is also very close.
