Rookesbury Park Ferry pitches

Hi

I was considering booking one of these , and noted the clear instruction as to what these pitches are for and if none available to contact the site directly and not book a standard pitch.

However, it would appear that every ferry pitch is booked for the entire 2016 season.  Is there something I don't know about like Noah building an Ark?

Thanks.

When the site is open you phone the warden to reserve a ferry pitch. As the site is closed at moment you phone Club HQ instead - Monday to Friday.

As this is the only CC site anywhere near the Portsmouth Continental Ferry Port I'm disappointed that it is not open all year.

There are cl's nearby to use re ferryport. Site is not owned by club and the estate  that own it has shoots  over the site area as soon as the site closes down for winter.

As to booking ferry pitch try head office as already mentioned.

Somewhere on CT there is a thread, title unknown, where cyberyacht has posted about stops around Portsmouth I believe, he is localish.  Maybe someone else will be able to 'name that thread'.  I'll get my coat

Dunno where the thread is but I can name two good CLs, "Carefree Nurseries" and "Arden" both have hardstandings and EHU. For a cheap commercial site, no hard standings there is

Quote from the Rookesbury site information

Please note: Ferry pitches can only be booked direct with the wardens on site.

Late arrivals and early departures should pre-book the short stay area in advance, direct with site.
