we are due to spend New Year at Chatsworth Park and I have just checked and the site is in s purple area - I.e. It can go onto flood alert/possibly flood. Does anyone know the probability of this with the heavy rain forecast tomorrow? Is there anyway of
finding out before we travel?

Ring the site and see what the warden advises.

Yep will do that in the morning, thanks.  It looks like they haven't had an alert since 2008 but never say never.

We use the Environment Agency web site, just type in the name of the place for details. I typed in Baslow and it all looks ok. Locally we can see how quickly our nearest river is rising and it's very useful.

Agree, although I think it'll be OK.

Was all fine and chatsworth great as ever! The road in was flooded over near the little roundabout on the site entrance but nothing to write home about. I kept checking the environment agency site for warnings but all was clear.
