Hi all,

I've only just discovered this site, so apologies if this post is in the wrong forum.

My wife and I had planned to spend christmas and new year at a CL in the Lakes, however after the havoc of storm Desmond we are now a bit concerned that it will not be the best time and terrible trying to get about.

Is anyone else heading there I wondered what your thoughts maybe on it.

    LF, have you book any sites yet? The C&CC's Keswick site is a disaster area, and I suspect many others close to any of the lakes are too. There's a good CL at Dalston nr Carlisle that's well above the flood plane and wasn't flooded when we were there last
    week. Have you any idea where in the Lakes you want to stay? You could give the CC's Coniston site a ring and ask what the situation is like there.

    Thanks for the reply.

    We booked a long while back now over in Mugrisdale direction. We tried to call the site last night but no luck just yet. I've emailed today.

    I thought there may be a list of the sites affected but I can't find anything.

    We are really going to and fro at the moment, as we would tend to be out a lot and it sounds like the roads will be limited.
