We like clumber park, downside no phone signal/wifi not important to most people but to the children it is and to us it gives us a peaceful few days

We have just come home from our very favourite site Clumber Park..in the CC mag saying come to the Xmas Fayre, mulled Wine, Brass bands playing on the Country Park, a Happy start to Xmas. We were greeted on reception by two grumpy ladies..a good job the
two Mr Happy's was outside and greeting us on site. Xmas lights was more or less not there...sorry it's only just two weeks to Xmas.

The Country Park, for two days..no brass bands..hardly any lights, mulled wine undrinkable, no xmas music. I felt sorry for the people who had to pay to go in. ( CC members on site go in free).

Well we have booked Xmas at Knareborough as last year...we have come away from Clumber feeling so flat..we are thinking of cancelling Knaresborough and staying at home!

It would be nice for more effort to be made as it is Christmas very disappointed!!

We r travelling to knaresborough today , what do you expect of a site to do for you at Christmas?? I would have thought its up to the yourselves to decorate the van and make it feel like Christmas.

We're off to Knaresborough on Wednesday but a bit worried about getting weather.  According to BBC weather it will be gusty when we travel an it seems like there's quite a lot of flooding in the surrounding areas.  We're thinking of changing to Clumber.
Like stevejulie37 it's about half an hour from us but am put off after the comment.  We were at Knaresborough last new year but only arrived on 01.01.  The atmosphere on the site was good even though the festivities were over.
