Auto-Trail rear bumper replacement query

Hi folks,

I've got a 2016 Auto-Trail Imala 715 which needs new corner panels on the rear skirt (i.e. bumper). I'm trying to decide whether to replace them myself or take it to a professional. It mostly looks easy enough - mainly half a dozen screws. The only thing I can't work out is how the corner panel attaches to the side skirt. Looking behind that joint, there are four or five plastic rivet-looking things through holes in the side-skirt end, with melted-over ends to keep them there: these are obviously doing the joining, but nothing is visible from the outside. Does anybody know how those plastic rivets are attached to the corner panel , and how to disassemble this joint?

Thanks

Phil

Added photos of inside and outside of nearside joint (that's a lot of sides).

@Philip Stanworth have you checked to see if there are any Auto-Trail Facebook Groups as usually they contain a lot of useful information and its more than likely you will come across someone who hs experience of the same problem?
