Fixed bed or Make-up bed every night?

We have a 2025 6.99m A Class Dethleffs Globebus which has fixed single beds above a tall garage for e-bikes, plus a drop-down double over the cab.
It has a separate bathroom with a shower which is enclosed by folding doors, so no wet feet using the loo.
Our lithium set up is fairly modest as we only have a single 100ah battery, a 2kw inverter and a 150w solar panel. But then we currently also have 2 x 13kg Gaslow propane cylinders for cooking, heating and the fridge. We can manage without hookup for about 2 weeks in the summer, running a small coffee machine, hairdryer and travel kettle - sparingly - but haven't put it to the test for more than 3 days when sunshine is scarce.
Can't say we have ever had a problem finding space on an aire to fit our MH (unless it's "complet") but then we always try to arrive before 4pm.

The Make-up Bed
Should say Made Up Bed but forgot to hit the vote button.
Never known anything else in all of the outfits we've owned, now on our 9th. Once the layout is learnt it really doesn't take long to make the bed itself. The current one is a bit like a jigsaw. There are 8 pieces to it. Last night it took less than 5 minutes to put it together then throw the thin duvet on for the bottom "sheet" followed by a thicker one until Summer, never have heating on overnight no matter what the weather. Pillows on. Maximum 10 minutes. Never needed a topper.
It's allowed us, like @Takethedogalong, to own smaller units to make touring easier. Wouldn't have a fixed bed at all.
