Washing the caravan.

Has anyone found a brush or a means of cleaning this area of the hitch cover? This is the one area of the caravan I have extreme difficulty in getting to, to remove any dirt and grime that builds up over the winter period. Many thanks in advance.

Most caravan accessory shops sell a telescopic brush that would easierly get rid of that, especially if used in conjunction with some Fenwicks caravan cleaner. The brush can also be used on the roof if you can safely get up there.

Thanks David, are these telescopic brushes thin enough to get in there?

@DavidKlyne The problem I have, David, is that we have no water at the storeage site and it is difficult to get the caravan home to wash, and then if I can get the the van home, it's the difficulty of getting to the roof safely. These days, I'm going down the 'professional cleaner' route once a year, and topping up by using a dry wash on the sides/ front, when/as necessary. The problem is, the chap who did mine last year, who I've grown to trust, has just sold up and moved to France, so I'm on the lookout for someone new....

This would do it, from Kleeneze. Or a toothbrush?

    Try these:

I bought a set last year - primarily to clean around the base of taps - both in the caravan and at home. I think they should be fine enough to get into that crack.

I think they would go partly in but TimboC's suggestion might be more effective. What I have done in the past to get into tight spaces is to tape a tooth brush onto a cane and that can get into most places.

Why not drag a wet rag through the gap, or use a paintbrush.
