Curious to know if anyone has widened the o/s awning rail and if so what did you do. We have a cover for ours but the o/s rail hasn't the wide opening to fit one thru.

Anyone know what its made out of as was thinking of cutting a small 1 inch part so I can fit a tow cover and an awning rail protector..

🤔l'lI await the onslaught of on why have a towing cover 😁

    Lots of people have towing covers. Why do you assume an onslaught?

    I totally agree with you, I'm in that same boat as they say… Its just when you read thru previous comments/posts they're usually saying that they've been towing for ex amount and never used one as they can scratch the caravan, how will a thin piece of material stop stone chips etc etc…

    I'd rather spend an extra 2 mins fitting one for my own piece of mind..

    We've now got a Adria and there is no opening to fit one on one side where as our previous Bailey did and came with one…

    Would it be easier to fit mud flaps on to the towing vehicle?

    sorted it now, made an awning rail opening in to the rail…

    Got a wanna be dremmel and just cut away at the awning rail… used a template of the right hand side for the size etc… Unfortunately as doing so someone came up behind and made me jump and so cause a couple of scratches to the rail… None the less it has done the job intended..
