Hi everyone,

I thought it might be nice to share thoughts and tips on a different Club, CL or Overseas Campsite each week.

To start this I've chosen Brighton Club Campsite as it's one I've visited in the past. I love the Marina which is about a 15/20 minute walk away and the South Downs are fantastic for walks and cycling. There's buses nearby which will take you into Brighton which is really convenient.

It's also great there are some Experience Freedom Glamping Pods on the campsite so non-caravanning and motorhoming friends and family can join you.

Have you visited? What did you like about the campsite, what is there nearby to do and do you have any pictures of your stay.

I have stayed at both the current Brighton site and the previous Club site on Brighton Race Course. We used the buses which run from fairly near the site, although any one with mobility issues might find it a struggle its about half a miles from reception. Once down on the seafront you can take the Volks Electric Railway into the Centre although Google is showing it as temporarily closed but I don't know if that is just seasonal?

Yes, I think it runs seasonally - reopening in Spring. We love the Volks Electric train but have also walked into Brighton too. 😊

Just one thing to be aware of at this site.

If you're planning to stay on site when the adjacent football team are playing at home, take some ear plugs.

I've stayed at the Brighton Site, but a few years ago now. Site is good and area is generally fine.... we spent a little time on the beach (.....it wasn't January when we went!) We were, however, aware of quite a bit of grafitti in places (in the town, not on the site, btw), which did surprise me.

I visited in the 90s cannot remember much about it but it obviously did not impress us that much because we have never been back.
