We did three signicicant tours in 2025, the first to Spain in March/April, Calais to Guardamar del Segura, a pretty routine trip for us as we have done the journey many times in all seasons.
Rest stop in France
Our second in May started off at the RHS show at Malvern after which we worked our way north via the Clent Hills to North Wales and then on to just north of St Helens visiting friends along the way before returning and breaking the journey at the Club's Chapel Lane site.
The Chain Bridge Hotel on the River Dee, Llangollen
The last major trip was my favourite, unusually for us taken in August to Cornwall. This was to attend a friends 80 birthday celebration. On the way we stopped at Oxford and Bristol to visit our granddaughters before carrying on to Woolacombe to spend time with our youngest son and family on the Damage Barton site. Our penultimate stop was the Marizion Touring Park for a week where we attended the party in a Penzance pub and met with more friends. Our final stop, to break the journey home was the Minnows near Tiverton.
A great Spread and
good company
Our Favourite journeys and most enjoyable are not only about places to visit but also about meeting up with friends and family.

We have had a very enjoyable season this year. Started off with a nice week in early March at Southport which was great nice walk in to the town and some nice cycle routes from the site also visited Liverpool a few times. Also our main summer trip was spent somewhere we have never been before Seacroft Club site in Cromer we loved it nice site well located and the bonus of a bar and pool was great. Plenty to do round about and was great to visit Sandringham House. In between we visited some of our regular haunts including a great week at Scarborough and various weekends at Ayr Craigie and Strathclyde Park. We done a total of 57 nights away which is slightly less than normal but still a good year Looking forward to next year now

We have only managed a mere two nights away in our MH, because of caring duties, so it’s not hard for me to choose a favourite🤣 Couple of nights at Pickering in November, we had a ball chasing after Locomotion and the Flying Scotsman. Our first ever trip away without a dog though, and it was very hard. We did have a week in a cottage just before Christmas, so slowly getting a few chances to get away.
At Pickering Station.
Coming in off the moors.

We managed about 50 nights away, intermingling them with duties as carers, so every night away seemed precious. We mainly kept to North Wales and Cheshire but did have a lovely 7 night break, mostly in the east touring nature reserves.
Conwy Castle.
Statue of Joseph of Aramathea inside Our Lady and St.Nicholas church in Liverpool
View from Criccieth Castle.
We used Club sites at Chester, Anglesey and Wirral, the rest were. CLs or CSs or Independent sites or C&CC sites

We have managed nearly 250 nights away this year, composed of 5 trips of over 30 nights and a short one, for us, of 11 nights. We have been fortunate to meet up with other CT members, which are always memorable, as well as family. We have used a wide variety of site, Club and C&CC ones, a regular commercial site, CLs and CSs and also a number THS. I personally think I most enjoyed our spring visit to Scotland, going up to West coast, across to Speyside and back down the east coast to Northumberland before heading home. As well as another Scottish visit we also explored parts of East Anglia and, on a different trip North Wales. Hopefully we will be able to do similar in 2026.

2025 was not a great touring year for us, possibly the least we have used this caravan, due to poor health and totally unexpected bereavement.
We have only had 2 tours, but our daughter and family have also used the van a little.
We took it to Seton Sands outside Edinburgh for them in April, they had 6 nights there, then we continued to East Fortune for a few nights before going on to a CL at York, then a CL in Derbyshire, a CL in North Wales and finally a commercial in the Lakes, 24 nights in total.
In June we had to sadly and very unexpectedly spend 2 weeks in Norway, then in July we had a planned 10 nights on Islay using our son and DIL’s holiday house, along with our daughter and family.
Our second tour started in late September in Pitlochry, where DD and family had used the van for a long weekend, we then headed south to Edinburgh for 4 nights, meeting up with the friends who were unavailable in April, then home for some repairs on the house, which were delayed in the end. It was mid October before we set off again, 4 nights in the Lakes and 5 in Wales on the same sites as before.
So only 37 caravan nights away for us plus 9 nights for DD and family. Like Peedee, we enjoyed meeting up with friends, which was the main purpose of our trips this year, but the most interesting was the 10 days on Islay, where we have never been before.
Time now to book our caravan service in March, and consider our plans for this year.

Just done a 'tot-up'.... we managed 79 nights out in the caravan in 2025 + 7 nights in a cottage on Lewis with Harris. Just one night less in the caravan than the previous year.
We stayed at: Tredegar House CAMC and Moreton-in-Marsh CAMC in February; York Beechwood Grange CAMC and Putts Corner CAMC in March; Stanmore Hall AS and Blackpool South CAMC in April; Conkers C&CC and Bridlington CAMC in May; Globe Vale, Redruth (Private Site), Putts Corner CAMC, Hunter's Moon CAMC, Cayton Village CAMC in July; South Meadows, Northumberland (Private Site), White Water CAMC in August (+7 nights on a cottage in the Outer Hebrides); Freshwater East CAMC in September; The Sandringham Estate CAMC in October. November we were confined to home because of Carol's hip operation, and December, just too busy with concerts!! As regards 'the most favourite'.... No idea!! 😃😃. They all offer something different.
....Hopefully out soon for our first outing of 2026. I'm going to try amd beat 79 nights this year.... 🤣🤣
