Dear Friends on Club Together,

Catherine (Cath) passed away on 2 December at home after a long illness. She was 81 and a day. Despite initially falling ill at the end of our winter trip to Spain in 2016, she managed to keep up her enthusiasm for travelling in our motorhome until recent years. She was always the 'star' of my Stories on CT, and the love of my life.

It was Catherine's hope that anyone wishing to commemorate her passing could make a donation to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust.

Chas

I'm really saddened to read this news, but so glad you've posted as it's good to know of 'friends' on CT.

My sincere condolences to you, your family and friends.

I will certainly make a donation in her memory. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers too. There's never any easy time to lose a loved one, but it seems particularly hard just before the festive season which causes delays in saying final goodbyes. I know it from personal experience. 😢

So sorry to hear the news Chas. I make an annual donation each year to this charity as I lost a friend and former work colleague to this illness just before his 40th.birthday many years ago.

I hope you have some support around you. Thank you for letting us know here on CT.

I'm so sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you. I loved reading yours and Cath's adventures and I hope that I get to explore and see so many amazing places as much as you both have. Such an inspiration.

I will also be making a donation in Cath's memory and sending my love and best wishes.

I'm so sorry to read the news about Cath. Over the years I too have read some of your travel stories and enjoyed them.

Two friends of ours also had PF, one passed away just 3 years ago and the other nearly 2 years ago; at the time we made a donation to PF in their memory and received a really lovely thank you from the PF Trust. Their local groups are very helpful in providing practical help and support.

Wishing you all the best during this difficult time, condolences to you and your family.
