Fully comp insurance for vehicle whilst being towed on a trailer.

I have a motorhome and want to tow a trailer with a car on top and have the value of the car covered by insurance. Can anyone advise of an insurer who will insure fully comp whilst on top of the trailer. I cannot find anyone who will insure either the motorhome trailer/ car combination, only the motorhome and trailer 3rd party. Also I can only insure the car fully comp whilst on the road not on a trailer. The only insurer who said they would do this was Adrian Flux but when I asked for this in writing they refused said I had to take their word for it that it was covered. I have been searching for weeks, I cannot believe that other motorhomers are unaware that their vehicle is not covered whilst being towed as 3rd party only covers other vehicles. Please has anyone any suggestions.

We did exactly this, albeit about 17 years ago. We had 2 fully comp policies; one on the MH and one on the car. Both were with NFU. The trailer itself had 3rd party cover under the MH policy which was fine and the car had its own fully comp cover. All was explained to and discussed with the insurer at the time.

Incidentally, it proved to be more trouble than it was worth to tow a car in this manner and we reverted to caravan and towcar.
