Elddis Crusader Storm LED Downlight removal

One of the (8) small (50mm) LED downlights around the sky light has become intermittent. I have not yet found a way of getting these out of the panel that surrounds the sky light. Any suggestions would be very useful as I am getting very annoyed with it flashing at me.

    Finally got round to removing my faulty downlight.

    Because of the delicate looking outer trim I decided that I needed something sharp to get under the edge. I removed it, quite easily in the end, by using a sharp wood chisel under its bezel to get it started. just the expected spring clips.

    Mine was a loose connection on the crimped spade terminal, all working!!

    I had to remove one on a previous Elddis van as the surround had dropped in that corner,I can remember using a trim tool to lever out the LED.It had two flared clips either side.You may have to go in from the side to release the clips if you are still having trouble.

    Thank you for the suggestion. The trim ring on the light is very thin and makes a very flush fit with the panel, I will have to choose a trim tool very carefully to avoid damage.

    Currently away and I do not have many tools with me but I will have a closer look when I get home.

    I have been pondering the idea of applying some Blu Tak to the front of the light to see if they will just pull out.
