How to replace broken skylight vent arms?
I have an old Swift Gazelle F61 (2003) where the skylight vent arms have broken. Found replacement arms on eBay which is great and also still have the springs. What is perplexing me is how your go about installing them. I understand that one end clicks into the plastic rod which is on the bottom. It's the hand end as the metal pin needs to go through the new arm which is the problem.
Does anyone know are you supposed to pull or push the in out? Where the metal part is in this picture on the other side is a plastic round which sticks out? Anyone seen a video on how to do this?
Any help much appreciated.

That being the case, it’s possible that the pins are just a (tight) push fit. Unless there’s a difference between one end and the other end of the pin (diameter), I would try just carefully try tapping out the pins with a hammer/punch from either end, whichever is easier. To make it easier, it might be possible to remove the vent completely? Hope this helps.

remove screw caps at bottom of arms unscrew all four and lift out by turning it or from the exterior then unscrew arms from skylight then reverse fit

Thanks @kalamitty55. I don't find any screw caps or anything to unscrew. The metal pins which screw the arms to the lid are just flat metal ends both internally and externally.
