Overnight parking for MH/Campervans at Honister Slate Mine
I was booking a mine tour for next week when I noticed this. Hope it's useful for some. I can personally vouch for the bacon buttees!
We are pleased to be able to offer overnight parking in our large bottom carpark with fantastic Lake District panoramic views. Perfectly nestled between Keswick, Derwentwater, Borrowdale and Buttermere.
This is for campervans/motorhomes/vans to park for the night, we are unfortunately not able to offer any camping for tents.
Please note we have no facilities available here and there is no electric hook ups.
Honister Pass is a 25% gradient and is narrow in places, but it does get arctic wagons at times! Please drive with care.
Our Sky Hi Café will be open from 9am daily to get bacon butties & a freshly ground morning coffee.
Please bring your order confirmation (either printed or written on paper) with you to display on your dash & check in at our main building with it. When making the booking you don’t have to select a date (there are loads of space), you just need your ticket number to be valid.

Noted and thanks @Cornersteady but not for me, too stressful driving up that road with my large motorhome when there are other ways of getting there.
