Hi everyone,

What are your plans for November? Are you planning on getting out on a Club Campsite or CL or are you looking to tour overseas? I would love to hear some inspiration for November touring!

We will only have 2 nights away this month due to other care commitments but have booked Chester club site to make use of a free night we've been allocated. Its not far from home so can return if needed quite quickly.

We'll hope to take a day into Liverpool, from one of the fairly local train stations, as its been a few years since we were last there. Probably go for a walk along the west coast of the Wirral on the other day. Weather will decide which day we do them in.

If we do get away later in the month it would be for just the 1 night, probably on a CL.

November is the month in which the van has all the servicing done, once finished I usually take it out for a few days to make sure everything is working fine ready for another year. Beyond that we have no firm plans but are thinking of touring western France in the summer including a visit to Puy du Fou for a couple of days.

Probably not the answer you want, Rowena, but two recently retired members of my family are going to Tuscany on Monday for a few days . The flights from Stansted to Pisa are £30 return. Admittedly it’s RyanAir and the outward flight is at a silly time , but £30 return really is a snip.

We usually head off in mid November at the start of our over Christmas tour, but have delayed going this year because of hospital appointments. However when we have those sorted out we will likely be stopping on a few C&CC sites, making use of their age discount, and a couple of CLs too.

@eurortraveller Yes as a long time traveller to Pisa using the budget airlines, although I've always found Ryanair great if you play by their rules, there are certainly some good prices to be had but usually those low prices are a basic seat with for minimal small carry on luggage under the seat, no seat allocation, and escalate rather quickly if you want an overheads stored case, or checked in luggage, seat allocation, be able to swop dates… for example.

Those prices are certainly a snip, but… what about accommodation costs? From personal experience unless your friends are staying in some multi-room hostel, or really out of the way places, it's going to be at about 100 euros per person per night and 150/200+ in any big city, then add transportation costs, food costs, optional costs for visiting any tourist spots… so again from experience a 'few days' in Tuscany will easily come about at least 400 to 500 euros at the very low end.

Because of the long nights and dismal weather back home, we are always away in November, usually in southern Spain where we can still go swimming in the Mediterranean without getting goose pimples.

We are on the last day of our first tour out for over 18 months, only two nights, but it has been lovely. Small private site three miles from Pickering, our first ever trip without a dog. It poured it down last night, but the Sun is shining this morning. Owls hooting all night, gentle moo of the odd cow somewhere, we had a great day yesterday full of steam trains, a moorland walk, might go home via Eden Camp. Just really nice to be able to have a change of scenery, and get back into our precious little MH.

They say they are paying £60 per night B&B in Pisa itself - including breakfast. Not bothering with car hire but will spend one day in Pisa then take train to Lucca (£8return) one day and one to Florence (£17 teturn) the next day. Meals are what adds up I agree.

Comes in about £400 plus meals, unless it £60 per couple per night in which case I would be very wary but that's up to them. Tell them Pisa takes half a day if that.

We've just returned from a very wet two nights at Moreton in Marsh, November is a busy month for us ahead of our big 6 month trip which starts in December. However, we have to squeeze in work and a little trip to Lady Margarets Park but this time we're giving the Experience Freedom glamping a go!

Caravan just taken in for warranty work. This has arisen from damp when in Belgium last May!! when I went slowly, but obviously not slowly enough through a couple of deep puddles. Not picked up until the service in April this year. It has taken since then to get the work approved under warranty, parts ordered and time available in the workshop. Just as well it is under one of the fixed seats/beds. so we never walk on the soft floor.

Very true Corners, but what a trio of amazing buildings.
