GROSS WEIGHT - keep it simple please

The Government site talks of "gross weight", and the current need for ALL trailers over 750kg in gross weight to be registered and carry appropriate plates.
In simple terms (no political discussions please), and when referring to a caravan, what does this term mean?
I assume it means "caravan's weight when fully loaded and ready to set off to Spain " 😁

Essentially, yes. It’s the caravan's MTPLM which, to stay legal, should never be exceeded.
There is a discussion thread on the subject of trailer plates on this forum and also a bit of advice in the overseas info section -
