Accessible holidays and touring for all
Welcome to our brand new forum area dedicated to accessible holidays for caravanning, motorhoming and camping. We created this space following the feedback from you on Club Together, to foster a supportive community where everyone can share experiences, tips, and advice on enjoying the great outdoors without barriers.
This forum is part of our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, and we’re excited to also introduce our Accessible Touring page on the Club website. There you will find resources and information tailored to make touring accessible for all.
We can't wait to hear from you here and welcome any feedback to help grow this community.

I hope members express their experiences or wishes on this thread.
Fortunately, I seem to be able to function quite well at the moment having recovered from a Stroke. One thing I have found though is the lack of accessibility access plans on almost all CLs. I appreciate that it's probably asking too much of such a small business to set one out but I have judiciously come across CLs which have achieved a high level of awareness without necessarily having a plan so I will use this thread to mention those CLs that I can either remember (difficult job with my memory) or those ones I stop at in future.

The above was one that was very good except for not having a ramp to get into the shower block.
As an aside I found that returning to caravanning about 6 months after a Stroke I searched out CLs with serviced pitches and easy access to Elsan points, normally relying on reading reviews. I do hope anyone leaving reviews will consider thinking about anyone with a disability or merely having less mobility due to age than before.
Finally, Club Sites whilst being aware of disabilities should maybe think of converting some pitches close to the facility blocks into full hardstanding, doing away with gravel which hinders movement for Wheelchairs or Rollators etc. I don't use club sites that often these days so the club may well have done this.

Hi @Wherenext thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and CL recommendation. That's really helpful.
Regarding pitches, we are trialling a new accessible pitch surface with one available and bookable at Bridlington Club Campsite and two at The Sandringham Estate Club Campsite.
